Chef Mickey's Character Buffet, located in the Comtemporary Resort
is a "must do" for many Disney World vistors. Mickey welcomes everyone to his buffet (served daily for breakfast and dinner)
While the buffet isn't known to set a gourmet standard, it can be counted upon to serve plenty for all kinds of palates

The Jerk Chicken was particularly tasty, imho

and, of course, children have a special selection.
There is also a carving station with Roast Beef and Turkey

and the "famous" Parmesan Mashed Potatoes (YUM!)
But the real reason to come to Chef Mickey's is for the characters... Some of them are straight from Disney...

and some of them look alot like OLP Reviewers; >)
The meal is right around $25 per adult and includes beverage as well as dessert. The review team says, "Go prepared to have fun!
and your experience will be Great!

Yummmmy!!!!! 9/1/2010 by Aerosmith Come here almost everytime I go to WDW. Awesome place and strongly reccomend it to anyone!Read reviews by this author A WDW MUST Do!! 4/14/2010 by Jason R. Even before we were married, my wife and I would be sure to make Chef Mickey's a must do stop on our vacations. We had always done breakfast there until our last trip when I screwed up the days on out reservations. I scheduled 2 things at the same time and I went to the concierge desk to see what we can do to rearrange some of the reservations. The service that I got was beyond exeptional! They helped me get all of my dining in order not only for the days I messed up, but they reviewed the rest of my AR's to make sure I was set for the rest of my vacation. So, we had lunch at Chef Mickey's for the first time and it was such an amazing experience! The food is the same as other WDW buffets, but the Disney food is still steps above other theme parks. Chef Mickey's is such a great experience because of the atmosphere, music, characters, and most importantly, the Cast Members. They are the ones that make everything at Disney such a great experience. We can't wait to go back!!Read reviews by this author Chef Mickey 12/12/2009 by Melissa The food is great The room is all fun We come here every year.Read reviews by this author June 2008 11/9/2008 by christina

I love going to Chef Mickey‘s; it is a fun place to go and eat . I go there almost everytime i come to WDW . Which is almost every two years, if not every year. Read reviews by this author Not too impressive 9/8/2007 by L.P. We had lunch here. They offer lunch during Free Dining in August. We were not impressed. Our ADR was for 12:30, and they were late getting the food out. There was not much selection. It was ribs, salmon, chicken, potatoes, veggies, pasta, nuggets, cheese pizza and mac and cheese. Also salads and buns. The desserts were okay though, brownies, cheesecakes, and make your own sundaes, with plenty of toppings to choose from. The service was not great either. Won‘t go again.Read reviews by this author Our favorite! 11/20/2006 by McDonald
We LOVED Chef Mickey's! We had a late dinner here and it was worth the effort to come that far from our hotel! The food was super, the mash potatoes were out of this world. My kids said they wanted to eat there everyday! I dont have a sngle complaint about chef mickey's! The characters came to our table, one by one, the atmophere was fun and exciting for the kids too! Dessert, the little cheese cakes were perfection! I high recommend this place and next time we plan on doing breakfast and dinner here! Read reviews by this author Lively place, get out your napkins! 10/10/2005 by Ser Alan This is one of the more lively character meals to be found, lots of singing and napkin twirling. The characters here seem quite lively! I wouldnt go here for the food, though. Its pretty much the standard Disney buffet fare.Read reviews by this author Chef Mickeys 8/26/2005 by Clara Fuller This is by far the best breakfast buffet we have had! First of all, you get to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale which beats standing in line in the hot sun for a picture. The food is great! Youve got such a wide selection that everyone in your party is bound to find something they like - pastries, eggs, Mickey waffles, French Toast, cereal, doughnuts, Rice Krispy treats, bacon, sausage, hashbrown casserole, and the list goes on and on and on. Plus, the price is reasonable - last time we went it was $16.99 per adult and $9.99 per child. Just make sure to make reservations!Read reviews by this author We LOVED Chef Mickeys!!! 6/2/2004 by Minderella Oh WOW! What more can I say?!
The atmosphere is GREAT,VERY "Mickey"!
Light & Airy, and very easy to get to. Not a long wait to be seated at all.
The photos that they take before youre seated are fantastic...really captures the magic!!Yes,they the cost to purchase them are seperate from the meal..but it really is worth it for the memories.
The food is excellent!!! VERY nice Buffet-even "Mickey" head-shaped ravioli!!!
I LOVED the characters,as usual-and it was my husbands birthday,so all the characters spun the cloth napkins around(as did all the guests!) and sung & danced to the Happy Birthday" song! CUTE! Then our server took over a chocolate,disney-decorated birthday cupcake w/a candle to blow out for my husband(it had a little Mickey-head chocolate candy stuck in the top! and lots of SPRINKLES!). We had a nice, pleasant,FUN experience here-and I am planning on going again!
We took photos with Donald on our way out(Donald doesnt go from table to table, like the other characters...he just stays up front...loitering & mingling!)
My husband got to take home his very own birthday placemat, how cool is that?!
We LOVED it! I cant say that enough!Read reviews by this author chef mickeys!! 5/27/2004 by nicole it was a great experience and the food was wonderful for dinner, but when we went they put us in the section that has less characters and is practically not part of the restaurant. some characters came by but I overall think it could have been better. Eat there, but request to have a seat in the center of the entertainment!Read reviews by this author Chef Mickeys 2/11/2004 by Craig Chef Mickeys is a truly magical dining adventure. A whole smorgasbord of delightful delicasies. Watch the face of your children light up when the charachters come and dance with them. Chef Mickeys is a must on all your Disney Dining Adventures. Read reviews by this author Best character dinner 11/22/2003 by Babs Im really not crazy about buffets but everyone told me I just had to try this place and boy am I glad I did! I had the prime rib from the carving station and it was great. All the sides were delicious as well but the best by far was the dessert bar. And that sundae bar was fantastic. My daughter wanted her picture taken in front of it so she could show her friends back home! The characters spent a good deal of time at each table and my kids enjoyed twirling their napkins in the air as they were instructed to do by Mickey and the gang. Note - this place was packed in November when WDW is usually not that crowded, so make sure you get a PS.Read reviews by this author may 2003 8/12/2003 by tayra We went to Chef Mickeys in May 2003 and loved it!! It was my husband, myself and our 7 year old daughter. This place is really a lot of fun and my daughter enjoyed it too! We went for breakfast and dinner, and both times were very enjoyable. The character interaction is the best! Its like a party the whole time you are there. Breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast pizza, hashbrowns, Mickey waffles, chocolate chip pancakes etc... Plenty for all to eat, even the picky eaters, I know I have one. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. During dinner they offer a picture, for an additional cost, of course. The dinner buffet was just as much fun with a wide variety. I really liked the peel and eat shrimp. Both visits the charaters come up to your table and visit with you for quite a while. They stay in the dining area the entire time and you can even walk up to them while they wait for new diners to arrive. We wont miss this place on our trip next May!!!!Read reviews by this author
